My Top 7 Vegan Travel Planning Tips

As the world begins to reopen (hooray!!! 🎉) after a big pause of over a year, due to the global pandemic, more people are packing their bags and traveling again! 🧳

So I wanted to share my top 7 tips for planning to travel as a vegan to help you along your journey ✈️

These tips are meant to offer suggestions to improve your experience so that when you land in your destination, you are ready and rearing to go, while still honoring your vegan philosophy and lifestyle! 🌱

So here we go! 💃

1. Contact a vegan travel agent to create your trip with carefully curated content for your vegan needs 👸 (you could google "vegan travel agent") 🙋‍♀️

2. If you organize your trip on your own, choose a vegan hotel or home stay 🏨 (you could google "vegan hotel" and "vegan airbnb") 🏡

3. Book a local vegan food tour (through Airbnb Experiences, for example) 🍨

4. Sign up for local vegan events (through meetup.com for example) 👯‍♀️

5. Reserve a vegan meal on your flight if they offer that option (through the airline's website or reservation center) 🍱

6. Join a Facebook group/community/page for vegans of the location you’re visiting to ask for recommendations, make new friends, and organize meet ups before you arrive at your destination (such as “London Vegans” or “Vegans Los Angeles”) 💃🕺

7. Search hashtags on social media for your destination to find restaurants and people who are currently in your destination location to potentially arrange to meet up with them once you arrive at your destination (such as #veganparis #nycvegan) 🍲
