11 Daily Uses Of Essential Oils
Essential oils are a big part of my wellness toolkit on a daily basis for many reasons. Some of the beautiful benefits that I have found with essential oils include their:
Beautiful array of lovely aromas
Healing properties on many levels including physically, emotionally and energetically
Wide variety of uses from head to toe, and throughout the home, the office and while traveling due to their antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties
I'm such a big fan of essential oils that I compiled a list of 11 daily uses of essential oils to share with you here. I hope that you will try a few of these in your daily routine and I would love to hear your feedback on these daily uses. Plus if you are using your essential oils in different ways I would also love to hear from you.
Some of my favorite organic essential oils are Aura Cacia among several others that I have tried at home and while traveling. By exploring various essential oils I have discovered their multitude of beautiful and powerful properties.
So, here are 11 awesome daily uses of essential oils that you might try:
1) Add a few drops to your hair to enjoy a beautiful aroma throughout the day and night
2) Add a few drops to your bath water to enjoy the soothing and/or invigorating benefits of essential oils such as jasmine or rose
3) Add a few drops to your shower floor and walls to enjoy the soothing and/or invigorating benefits of essential oils, such as lavender or peppermint, that are released by the steam of your shower
4) Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils on your body as a perfume, particularly behind the ears and on the wrists, to enjoy a lovely aroma throughout the day or night
5) Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to your clothing to enjoy wafts of awesome essential oils aromas throughout the day and night
6) Add a few drops on your bedding to enhance your restful sleep such as lavender or bergamot essential oils
7) Add a few drops to water as a disinfectant to clean counters, tubs, sinks etc., such as eucalyptus or cinnamon essential oils
8) Add a few drops to a wound or scrape to contribute to the healing process
9) Add a few drops to an inflamed or swollen area on the skin to reduce inflammation and remove impurities, such as ginger or clove
10) Sniff an open bottle of an essential oil of your choice to use aa a ritualistic prompt to repeat your affirmations and mantras perhaps at specific times of the day that you choose for these rituals. This is one of my favorite ways to use essential oils.
11) During or after your meditation practice and/or after your yoga practice, add a few drops to your palms and then gently rub your palms together and then raise your palms to your nose to inhale the beautiful aromas for their beneficial properties. You may also gently press your palms to your forehead, and any other parts of your body that you wish, to enjoy the soothing and relaxing benefits of your essential oils, such as sandalwood or sage
