52 Signs You Need to Go on a Retreat

In our busy world it can sometimes be challenging to stop, hit the pause button and realize that we need to slow down, take time for ourselves, and perhaps go on a retreat to replenish ourselves.

Many people in our modern society are “running on empty” by trying to “keep up with the Joneses” and fulfill “people pleasing” roles that they have adopted and adapted from childhood. Fueled by a Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) that keeps many of us trying to keep up with everything that is going on around us so that we don’t miss out on something; so that we “stay in the loop” and “stay current”.

This fear-driven lifestyle can be exhausting and draining. Sometimes, in this fast-paced world we ignore the signs that we need to get off “the treadmill” and relax and reset our nervous system, our life and our lifestyle.

That is why I decided to write this blog about a multitude of signs that you might need to go on a retreat, with the hope that this list will help you to identify whether you need to book your next vacation in the form of a retreat, versus a typical sightseeing, fast-moving traditional  vacation.
